MAXTRAX MKII Recovery Boards are lightweight, vehicle recovery device that’s easy to carry and easy to use.

How to use your MAXTRAX
After become stuck, use the MAXTRAX as a shovel to clear debris from in front of your tires. Wedge the MAXTRAX in front of your tires at a 45 degree angle. If in a two wheel drive vehicle, place the MAXTRAX in front of which ever set of wheels receive power. In a 4WD vehicle, ensure 4WD is engaged and place in front of the front tires, depending on where the vehicle is most bogged. Placing them at the front of the vehicle will give you an extra boost of momentum once your rear tires hit the MAXTRAX. Once properly placed, slowly begin to accelerate, do not spin your wheels. If the MAXTRAX are not engaging, they may need to be repositioned, or more debris may need to be cleared. Once you have traction, maintain momentum until you reach firm ground. Retrieve your MAXTRAX and carry on!

Black: MAXTRAX MKII Stealth Black is our most-discrete color, blending in seamlessly with roof racks, bed racks, and it's perfect for scenarios in which you do not want to draw attention to the accessories on your vehicle. We strongly recommend the use of our included Telltale Leashes when using them in the mud!

Desert Tan: Desert Tan MAXTRAX are the choice of Special Forces units in desert combat. Between the military-inspired color and the hard to identify shape, they blend perfectly into your surroundings: including sand, where you’ll want to use your included Tell Tale leashes to quickly recover your MAXTRAX.

FJ Red: FJ Red MAXTRAX Recovery Boards are bold, but not quite as bold as our signature red. They're a great choice for someone who still wants a practical, visible color for all types of conditions.

Titanium Grey: Goes well with any build, MAXTRAX MKII Titanium Grey are fairly easy to see in the muck, however we do recommend using the included leashes for increased visibility.

Gunmetal Grey: MAXTRAX MKII Gunmetal Grey falls between Black and Titanium Grey and matches Toyota® Magnetic Grey and Ford® Leadfoot vehicle colors. An excellent choice for a user looking for a subdued color.

Olive Drab: Originally made at the request of the United States Marine Corps, this muted Olive Drab will blend in with forest surroundings. Be sure to use the included Tell-Tale leashes to easily spot your MAXTRAX in the muck.
